Iron Roses is a 3D adventure game with a music theme. Here, you play Alex, a musician trying to win a music contest at her local club. For this reason, she has to reunite the members of her band who have gone separate ways some time ago. Most of the time, you will be picking up objects that are necessary for the performance or talking to different characters in order to find out what you need.
The controls are very simple, you move Alex by clicking on parts of the screen or objects. If you click on an unnecessary object, she will tell you something about it. The cursor changes according to the things you can do with that object. The eye indicates that you can have a closer look at the object, the hand means that you can pick it up, and so on. Fortunately, the dialogues are very well-made and interesting. This is important because you spend most of the time doing that.
Throughout the game you will visit different locations in the city looking for your bandmates. These include her apartment, the music store, the pub, an Internet cafe, a restaurant, among many others. If you get stuck or don't know what else to do, there is a hint system that you can use as a guide. Also, if you can't find certain objects, the game automatically reveals them by pressing the key ENTER.
The game actually doesn't have mini-games. There are some instances in which Alex has to fix problems, but not many. So you basically are finding objects and people throughout most of the game. more
